In 2005, Guadalajara was written by Cody Burns, creator of Spike Industries[3], and Shane Fox.[2] The project soon was called off due to cast disputes after only 17 scenes of film.[2] Five years later, Burns decided to animate the missing scenes and make a DVD complete.[2] The 2010 film entails what a young man (Cody Burns) will do to chase down the kidnapper of his little sister. Cody delegates the help of his best friend (Chris Rex) and they chase the villain down to his hideout in a mystical third reality known as the Guadalajara project, resembling Guadalajara, Mexico.[1][2] Chris's older sister (Brittany Warner) sneaks along and helps the two on their quest to save Cody's sister.

Sequels[edit]

There has been released discussion about possible sequels to the original storyline. Fox has confirmed at least two films based after Guadalajara have been written. It is unknown if these will ever reach filming.[1]

Guadalajara II: Rachel Strikes Back[1][edit]

"At the end of the first movie, Chris marries a Native American princess named Maomi in the mystical land of Guadalajara. Little does he know that he is being watched very carefully by an IHOP waitress named Rachel, whose path had crossed his while the trio was in pursuit of Shane. The suspense does not stop there, however, because Rachel turns out to be one of Chris's ex-girlfriends. Six years ago, the boy had asked out a girl named Ricky. One day, the girl just disappeared, and ended up being sent away to an insane asylum where she was completely changed through horrid surgeries. Chris does not recognize the new Ricky (a.k.a. Rachel), but must now reunite with his friends and even join forces with Shane, an ex-enemy, to ensure Maomi's and the sacred land's safety because it is his duty as the Prince of Guadalajara."

Guadalajara III: Trials Of Infinity[1][edit]

"It is now seven years later, seven whole years since Chris, with the help of his friends, locked Rachel up for good. Chris and Maomi now have a baby on the way, and have Cody and Brittany helping them prepare for the big moment. Chris and Maomi are now King and Queen of Guadalajara due to the tragic death of Maomi's father, and the whole village is anticipating the birth of the next heir to the throne. Whitney calls Cody and warns him that Shane may be getting into some strange things and might even be plotting to kill Chris in order to gain the throne of Guadalajara for himself. Wondering if this is true, Maomi tells the group of an ancient ritual called the Trials Of Infinity that suspected liars are put through to bring the truth out into the light. By putting Shane through these tests, the world can finally see where his loyalties truly lie."
