Activities in the Area:
[edit]The Rideau Lake districts are a popular tourist destination all year round, but especially in the summer. Some summer activities in the area include:
- Wellesley Island State Park
- Kilborn's on the Rideau (a department store)
- Old Stone Mill National Historic Site
- Portland Bay Conservation Area
- Mill Pond Conservation Area
As well as various summer activities, many cottages on Upper Rideau Lake and within the lake systems are for rent, and common activities on these sites include boating, hiking, swimming, and horse riding.
