This is a suggestion for an Article on Chaplain William Downey. He was the Chaplain of the United States military's 509th Composite Group - the special group of scientists, engineers and military personnel that dropped the 2 Atomic Bombs on Japan in WW II. I think this Chaplain is noteworthy. He was the first and only Chaplain of an Atomic combat operation. His prayer over the operation prior to takeoff for Hiroshima is worth looking at. He is pictured mentioned in the books ENOLA GAY and RUIN FROM THE AIR. And more pictures are available on Google Images. He is interviewed on the ATOMIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION Website. I think he can be linked to the Categories at the bottom of the Wikipedia Article on the 4 Chaplains. They were the 4 US Army Chaplains that went down on the SS Dorchester, sunk by a German U Boat at the beginning of WW II. There is a good bit of information on him on the internet.
