USLT Libraries: Electronic Resource Center (ERC)[edit]
Introduction[edit]
- ERC is located at the second floor of College Library of University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao. The main function is for internet use of students and faculty. It has 50 computer units connected to the World Wide Web or the internet. ERC is open to all graduate and undergraduate college students in the University. Computer unit in the ERC is intended for internet surfing only. Student can have their research using the EBSCO and INFOTRAC which is the online journals being subscribe by the University. ERC is also equipped with five computer units which is also connected to the internet which is exclusively used by the faculty members for their research, encoding of test questions and other related work related to their subj. ERC is open to serve its client from 7:30 in the morning and closes at 6:00 in the evening no noon break .

- Establish since 1997 it was then an Internet Multimedia office (IMMO) then as time goes by it was then named Electronic Resource Center (ERC).
Office in-charge[edit]
- Mr. Arnulfo A. Pacis, studied at Technical University of the Philippines under the program Instrumentation and Control Technology. He also studied at AMA Learning Center, under the program Computer System Operation. Seventeen years in service in the University.
- The ERC in charge shall be appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Center for Computer and Information Technology Director and subject to the confirmation of the Board of trustees. The ERC In-charge is directly responsible to the Center for Information and Communications Technology Director.
Rights and Responsibilities of Office In-charge
- Supervises students and faculty use of workstations.
- Monitors students internet account.
- Collects fees from students for printing jobs made and remits the same regularly to the accounting office.
- Proposes for any upgrade on the multimedia facilities.
Difficulties in ERC Section?[edit]
- Drop connections of equipment’s.
Purpose of ERC Section?[edit]
- Generally, the use of Internet in the university is for educational and work related purposes to further the information need of the academic community.
Guidelines on the use of Internet (ERC College)[edit]
- Students must present their Identification card to the in-charge before surfing the net.
- Internet account is non-transferable unless the owner of that account is present.
- The internet stations are available on a first-come, first- serve basis.
- A maximum of 1 hour per session is allowed.
- Each student is given 10 hours of Internet Surfing per semester. Unused number of hours is non cumulative and cannot be used for succeeding semester.
- A ratio of 1 student per Internet station.
- The use of internet is definitely for educational purposes only.
- Opening of pornographic and game sites are strictly prohibited, students found violating this will be sanctioned accordingly.
- Social Networking is allowed for college students. However, for HS and Grades school social networking sites is not allowed. No games shall be allowed.
- Altering of PC CMOS, browser, and network configuration is strictly prohibited.
- Foods, drinks, gums are not allowed inside.
- Please observe proper discipline at all times.
- Generally, conducting of classes at the ERC is not allowed. However, for those who will be using the ERC for EBSCO training (RM Classes), a written permission should be sought to be endorsed by the dean before any classes shall be conducted.

- Charged P2.00 per page(short), P3.00 (long) with those with graphics, P5.00 per page.
