Chris Osterloh is presently a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Itron Inc. He is responsible for architecture, requirements negotiation, system analyses, and compliance validation for multiple AMR/AMI systems. He has preformed advanced modeling of system capacity, network redundancy, and RF coverage. Prior to joining Itron in 2001 he worked for Glenayre Inc, where he was a Lead systems engineer and engineering manager. At Glenayre Chris managed a software engineering group developing systems management applications for multiple telecommunications server products. He provided advanced architecture support on multiple RF and IP based design projects including optimization of cellular based targeted messaging systems. Chris has a Masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla where he was both a research assistant and graduate teaching assistant. He is a holder of 9 US patents. Chris has published multiple articles on RF system design and optimization. He is active in the Standards approval process within the IEEE, the System Security working group in INCOSE and is a member of ISSA.
