The Tunipoo Inn was a restaraunt & lounge with a boarding house on the upper floors that service the community of Beverly Farms and Prides crossing from the 1920's until 1984. The Inn, located walking distance from the Beverly Farms railroad depot was utilized by many of the upper crust ocean front residents as temporary housing for summer servant staff. As the working population of Beverly Farms grew, it became a local social gathering spot. The structure housed a first floor art deco style lounge, a restaraunt/function room and a wrap around deck. Upper floors held a series of boarding rooms. The cellar held a locally infamous men's bar. Locals believe the men's bar (complete with dirt floor) was one of the last establishments to serve a nickel glass of beer. As the local population demographics shifted to a more upscale desires, the restarunt upstairs lounge saw less use. The mens bar remained a popular watering hole for locals, and the upper floors shifted to a rooming house model that continued until the structure was converted to condominiums in the late 1980's.
