Independance Day Festival, Middletown, Virginia

Come join us as we celebrate July 4th, to represent the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States as it became an independent nation. Middletown, Virginia has celebrated Independence day with different events and many people since July 4th, 1924.


Events:

  • Softball game: morning softball game played by members of the community
  • Kids games: bounce housees, water slides, dunking booths, including Middletown park equipment like baseball fields and basketball courts
  • Salute to veterans: held by the First Baptist Church
  • Live music: Robbie Limon Band and The Reflex, pop and rock band
  • Parade: over 100 entries that include fire trucks, different floats, antiques, horses, motorcycles, that go over a 50 mile radius
  • Food vendors: including fried oreos, the traditional funnel cake, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other sweets
  • Fireworks: starting at dusk that last the rest of the night
