Herbert Reid Jr. is a music producer based in Surrey B.C. Canada. He was born in Sanford Florida and raised in Buffalo New York. He is the son of the late Rev. Herbert Reid Sr. whom was a civil rights leader and pastor of The Gethsemane Grape Street Baptist Church of Buffalo. Herbert Reid Jr. is the founder of Cheektowaga records, an independent recorded music label. Mr. Reid through his label Cheektowaga records released the first recordings by Zane Campbell & Hard Facts. Zane is related to Ola Belle Campbell Reed (August 18, 1916[1] – August 16, 2002)and was the writer of Post Mortem Café the theme song to "Long Time Companion" the first serious film by a major distributor dealing with AIDS.

He signed and produced lower New York City East Side independent rock bands such Box 7, Xica Jool, Next Generation, Counsel Says, Dane Electrik, and dozens of obscure independent mid. 80's new wave, punk, alternative and pop music artists.

He briefly attended Manhattanville college in Purchase New York where he was classmates with Maria Shriver. He has worked with major record labels in Europe and Asia and is still active today.
