Candace Lampe Taylor was born in Sacramento, California on September 8, 1960 to John and Beverly Lampe. She is the youngest daughter, with three older sisters. Taylor grew up training and riding horses, worked her way through college, earning a BA in Organizational Communications and Journalism from California State University, Sacramento. She completed all course work for an MA. Taylor worked in the nonprofit sector for 16 years in fundraising and marketing. She also worked as a real estate broker for 14 years. A part-time freelance writer and artist for 35 years has been the backbone of her life and definitive path to enlightenment.
