Carnoustie and District Pipe Band was founded 2008 in Carnoustie, Angus, on the east coast of Scotland. The band has members coming from across the whole of Tayside; from Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross. Led by Pipe Major Ian Campbell, the band actively promotes the development of piping and drumming.

In 2010 the band entered its first official RSPBA competition and has made continued progress each year at various major contests including the British, Scottish, European and World Championships. In 2013, the band won its first Major Championship prize, being a 4th place trophy at the British Championships at Bathgate.
