Born in 1981 in Hamilton, Alabama, Daniel Carter received his Batchelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University in 2002. He is now currently pursuing his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL under the guidance of Dr. Dinesh O. Shah and Dr. Ranga Narayanan (http://csse.che.ufl.edu). His accomplishments include inventing a product to help shed more water from fabric during the final spin cycle of a washing machine to help reduce the drying time of laundry as well as reducing the amount of energy required to dry laundry (http://www.physorg.com/news5704.html).
