There's a tool here that allows anyone to find admins who are currently active. If I've pinged you over something that you don't really have any involvement with, it's probably because you were on top this tool - you've won the "admin lottery". Lottery in the sense of The Lottery, I imagine. (I do make sure that the admins I'm pinging are active in stuff similar to what I need, first!)
