My name is Christopher Hassall and I am Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Leeds. I hold a BSc in Zoology, a PhD in Ecology, and have expertise in freshwater ecology, radar aeroecology, entomology, and socio-ecology. I am interested in critical thinking and developing novel methods for the effective translation of science into societal benefit.

I make edits very occasionally in my paid time as part of educational and research work as part of my role as an academic at the University of Leeds. My goals are to increase the representation of biodiversity and those people who contribute to its biodiversity. I hope, also, to encourage my students and colleagues to do the same.
