Renpin[1](simplified Chinese: 人品; traditional Chinese: 人品; pinyin: Rén Pǐn),often abrreviated as RP, is a Chinese word originally meaning "morality". Now it is more often referred to as "luck" in Chinese online community. It can also refer to Renpinism, a new religion originated from Chinese online community.
Renpinists believe that there is a link between one's luck and his morality. Benefiting others generally increases one's Renpin. With a greater Renpin, one is more likely to gain better outcomes in uncertain events, such as winning in lotteries or passing exams.
Generally,Renpinists think that their Renpin is expected to increase after suffering from some bad things which expiate their Repinally questionable behaviors.This is to say,renpinists believe that the total sum of Renpin is conservative.
e.g. Sai Weng lost one of his horses.(This means he was in a state of low Renpin)
Few months later,the lost horse returned,leading a group of fine horses.(The previously loss of Renpin had been expiated,according to the law of conservation.He was in a state of high Renpin relatively.)
Afterwards,the son of Sai Weng fell from the horse led by the lost one and broke his leg.(Relatively,the exceeding abundance of his Renpin previously brought out the lower Renpin of his son.)
Eventually,his son avoided being recruited to the army due to the broken leg.(Again,the law of conservation of Renpin works and Sai Weng finally in a eruption of Renpin!)
This tradition Chinese story gives a perfect illustration of the law.
