Uses[edit]

Over 35% of the bioenergy used in 2021 was from biomass for traditional cooking methods – practices that are unsustainable, inefficient, polluting and linked to 5 million premature deaths in 2021 alone.[1]

With the use of technologies that are not yet commercially viable, it is possible to produce biokerosene to replace jet fuel for use in aviation.[2]
