About me

I work in education now, although when I started writing for Wikipedia I was traveling extensively and so had a lot of down time in various places to read and help write articles. A lot of my contributions are anonymous for various reasons but I've recently decided this was a mistake - Wikipedia is revolutionary for so many reasons and building a community of sources, experts and people with common interests is a good thing.

Like everyone else, I write about the things that interest me and I'm probably overly proud of some of my contributions. For example, Dr. John Morgan Wells was a friend of my father's and I was a little bit surprised that there was no mention of him in the Nitrox article.

One area of particular interest to me is the history of the Philippines.

Favorite Wikipedia Moment

The Blast fishing article I started was featured on the Fishing portal in 2007. That felt pretty good.
