Caitlin Mann

Caitlin Mann is currently a Public Policy Fellow for the Cuyahoga County Office of the Executive and will be a Junior at Boston College in Fall, 2011. A native of Rocky River, Ohio, she graduated from Hathaway Brown School in Shaker Heights, Ohio in 2009. She is studying English in the pre-law concentration and participates in Boston College's Honors Program. She is a competitive Irish dancer, who has competed in the World Championships 10 times in her career, in addition to many other national and international competitions. While in high school, she was named an Intel Science Talent Search Finalist in 2009 for her project involving micro-sensors mentored by Dr. C.C. Liu at Case Western Reserve University's School of Engineering. Her abstract has been published in the Ohio Academy of Science Journal and the American Junior Academy of Science Journal.


An active member of the community, Caitlin is a member of the Cleveland Leadership Center's Look Up to Cleveland Class of 2008 as well as their Civic Leadership Institute Class of 2011. Caitlin was involved with the City Club of Cleveland's Youth Forum from 2007-2009, and served as the Chair for 2008-2009. She has been involved in numerous different service projects and enjoys doing what she can to positively impact her community.


Now, in addition to her competitive dancing and school work, Caitlin is a member of the Boston College Irish Dance team, a writer for Her Campus magazine, and a member of the Boston College Honors Program Student Executive Board. She is also very interested in eco-consciousness and becoming "greener" in her life, so she is involved with Teens Turning Green doing research and is on a project planning team.
