Nahoum Cohen is an Israeli artist, town planner and writer. Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, 1938, he emigrated to Israel in 1948, settled with many newcomers in Jaffa. He studied in the "College des Freres", Jaffa, then completed high school in Tel Aviv, and a first degree in Engineering, followed by a degree in Architecture and Town Planning, Technion, Haifa. He has had his first one man exhibition in Jerusalem, 1960. His painting is generally Expressionistic. Nahoum Cohen has planned extensively, esp. in Jaffa and Tel Aviv, Israel, beside being a Senior Lecturer at The Faculty of Architecture, the Technion, Haifa. He has published many books, some at MIT Press, as well as at McGraw-Hill, and Batsford, London.
