Podcasts basics: There are two essential things you need for a podcast; a microphone and Audacity.
Audacity is free software for recording anything and can be downloaded and installed on any computer. After you have installed Audacity you can then record using a mic with a USB port.
Here is the link to download Audacity [1]

  • After recording, save the podcast to a folder.
  • After saving the file you then must export the file as a MP3. To convert the file follow: Audacity-File-Export As MP3. You will be asked the first time to locate the lame.enc.dll file. Click to download the file here. [http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/pop.php?lame_enc. You can put in the C: drive. It really doesn't matter as long as it doesn't move. You only need to do this the first time. After converting the audio file to a MP3 you can upload to a web site such as Podbean.com. Podbean is also a blogging site. ==
