From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is the order of battle for the Battle of Borodino. All units are named by their title in English.

Grande Armée

[edit]

Unless stated, all cavalry units have 4 x squadrons, and infantry have 2 x battalions. Note: for cavalry, two companies comprise a squadron. Note: strengths are for the units at the beginning of the campaign.

[edit]

During the battle, the Imperial Guard comprised around 19,000 men and 109 guns. Note: Smith doesn't include the Imperial Guard in his order of battle, because the 'corps' was not completely involved in the engagement.
