Chris Taylor (drummer/programmer)
Chris Taylor (born July 29,1958) is a Canadian drummer/singer/songwriter best known for his long time association with music producer Bob Rock.
Early Music Years
Taylor started his career at the Vancouver based Little Mountain Sound Studios working as a second engineer and drum programmer for various acts including Bon Jovi, Motley Crüe, The Cult, David Lee Roth and others.
While at LMS he joined The Payolas as their drummer starting with the band's 1982 album No Stranger to Danger that featured the band's single 'Eyes of a Stranger'
After the Payolas Taylor joined Rock and Hyde and in 1991 he co-founded the band Rockhead.
Video Game Years
Taylor moved from music production to video game production in the 1990's spending 11 years at Electronic Arts as audio director on the FIFA (video game series) where he introduced the use of hit songs to the FIFA series with songs such as Blur's Song 2.
2020's
Taylor made the transition from drums to vocals in the 2020's and has written over 40 songs with songwriting partner Bob Rock as part of a project to be released in 2024.
