The Order of KTL is a secret society founded at the University of Mississippi in the early 20th Century by a group of likeminded sophomore students. Little is know about this society due to its extreme secrecy. The motto of the Order is, "Speaking during the silence." It is thought that this society came about when James Meredith became the first black student to attend Ole Miss. This society banded together in the fight for equality and justice and continues to do so this day. There are no notable members, they have no house, and meet secretly off campus. It is theorized that they meet regularly once a month on the first seventh day to discuss matters such as philosophy, science, religion, and world events. It is also thought that their Greek letters KTΛ stands for the Knights of the Temple of Light, and their traditions and rituals were adapted from the Knights Templar. This Order is also known as the "7" Club.
