From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Let's take a look at the sources: The first reference is an interview which is by definition not an independent source, and which appears in "Wannabee Magazine" which I doubt is a reliable source. The second reference is a fashion layout and Slunjski is credited at the end as makeup artist. The is the most fleeting of passing mentions, is certainly not significant coverage and does not establish notability. The third reference is a commercial fashion sales website and is therefore worthless for establishing notability and I see no mention of Slunjski there. The fourth reference is to some guy's social media stream and therefore worthless for establishing notability. The fifth reference is a video clip from a site where users upload whatever they want. I see no evidence of that this is a reliable source. The sixth reference is another fashion sales site, where I do not see Slunjski mentioned. Also worthless. The seventh reference is an article written by Slunjski herself about a day she spent with Kim Kardashian. Not independent and of no use for establishing notability. The eighth reference is an interview with Slunjski about the day she spent with Kardashian. Not independent and of no use for establishing notability. The ninth reference is a duplicate of the eighth reference. The tenth reference is a promotional website for a South African singer named Binx. I see no discussion of Slunjski there, but even if that promotional website mentioned her, it would be of no value for establishing notability. It is overtly promotional. The eleventh reference is a Binx video on YouTube. Utterly worthless. The twelvth reference is a blog list of student mentors and does not seem to mention Slunjski. It has no value and does not verify the fact.

There is not a single reliable independent source devoting significant coverage to Slunjski among those twelve sources. Unless such sources can be furnished, she is not notable and is therefore ineligible for a Wikipedia article.

TheGalaxyMan makes a big deal out of how large the beauty industry as a whole is. True, but not relevant. The construction industry is also massive. That does not mean that every carpenter who gets mentioned in a construction journal or works on a movie set is notable. The healthcare industry is also gigantic. That does not mean that every physician who is mentioned briefly in a few newspapers and cares for a celebrity or two is notable. Far from it.

TheGalaxyMan is also arguing that social media presence somehow confers notability. Nothing could be further from the truth. Billions of people including me have a social media presence but are not notable and are therefore ineligible for Wikipedia biographies. Social media lacks professional editorial control and a reputation for accuracy, fact checking and error correction. On the contrary, social media has a well deserved reputation for a very high percentage of inaccuracy. Verified social media can be used in a limited way for non-controversial biographical facts, but only when notability has been firmly established elsewhere. In this case, there are zero high quality sources that might establish notability.
