[edit]Dr. Thomas Searles was born in Albany Georgia to Thomas Andrew Searles, an educator, and Theresa Fuller Searles. He has two sisters, Erikka Searles Mitchell and Dr. Erin J. Searles[1]. He married April Farley Searles in Chicago Illinois on April 22, 2011[2]. Searles graduated from Morehouse College with a BS degree in mathematics and physics. He earned his PhD from Rice University in Applied Physics.[3]
