Brock Janson (born September 6, 1985), known by his alias of Cyberen Broyoshi, or just simply Cyberen, is an American Flash animator, whose animations are predominantly showcased on the media-based website Newgrounds. He is known for consistent usage of Invader Zim in his animation work, notably the animation Invader Zim: TMHSE, and his role in a Flash animation series on Newgrounds, The Cyberen Sillies, an experimental arts project created by "Lauch B."

Janson encountered a growing stage of breast cancer in August 2008, which was examined by medical personnel after a collapse at his college dormitory in Alamosa, Colorado. The Cyberen Sillies creator, whose name was not released to the public, had devoted his series to give thoughts for Cyberen in what was described as a "difficult, depressing time of Cyberen." He was released in December 2008.

Background

Janson had submitted several Flash animations to the media-based website Newgrounds and had been an active member of a highly controversial spam-based group entitled The Barney Bunch. Other work includes that of Invader Zim, notably Invader Zim: TMHSE, released in August 2006, a collaboration between Janson and several others from a currently defunct Invader Zim media-related fansite. Janson attended Adams State College and an arts school in Colorado Springs.

Collapse and illness

On August 25, 2008, at approximately 10:25 a.m. local time, Brock Janson had collapsed on the dormitory floor of his alma mater Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, United States. A friend of Janson had immediately phoned medical services after noticing Janson unconscious on the floor twenty-five minutes later following the collapse. Janson was rushed to San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center where he was in critical condition. On August 30 at 4:30 p.m., Janson's medical condition was upgraded to fair; what doctors had recognized were symptoms in relation to Brock Janson's unconsciousness that were of breast cancer. Brock Janson had been immediately diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer.

Reports show since September that Brock Janson had stayed at three hospitals that including of San Luis Valley Regional and one in the Denver suburbs, where Janson had endured a regular basis of chemotherapy. In November 2008, Janson was placed in a coma for twenty-eight hours following a performing of mastectomy on his left breast. As of January 2009, Cyberen has undergone multiple procedures in relation to the breast cancer growth but remains at Stage III in breast cancer as identified by San Luis medical personnel. Brock Janson may be the first male under 25 to have ever receive breast cancer in Colorado.

Response

The Cyberen Sillies creator, whose name was not released to the public, had devoted his series to give thoughts for Janson after he was notified about the collapse and breast cancer diagnosis two days after the diagnosis had been ultimate. Lauch B. had also made three air flights to San Luis and one in Denver from his West Palm Beach, Florida residence to keep company with Cyberen. Tributes on Newgrounds and Janson's YouTube profile's comments were made.

Personal life

Cyberen lives with "severe mental illnesses" according to his spokesman Lauch B. Janson showcased several videos on YouTube, which are described by Lauch B. as "Cyberen loosing it." Cyberen Sillies co-founder identified as Tim C. describes the YouTube videos Janson submitted in December 2009 and January 2010, as "YouTube Poop-like movies, which make no sense and only indicate a serious mental illness that Cyberen is going through. They obviously make no sense and only show that Cyberen has lost it."

He currently resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, unemployed. He was featured in a February 2009 article regarding a clean-up program in Santa Fe, where Janson was quoted "it's hard to tell the difference between trash and a dead animal," according to the Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper.
