What is expected of an admin

[edit]
Administrators on Wikipedia are expected to satisfy a minimum of the following characteristics for the community
  1. The candidate repeatedly demonstrates a sense of civility with minimal rudeness.
  2. The candidate knows all of the basic policies including the 5 pillars.
  3. The candidate has a general grasp of administration policies.
  4. The candidate demonstrates that they can be trusted with the extra tools and power they get when becoming an admin.

What the community looks for

[edit]
When a candidate goes through an RfA the community can be quite harsh when evaluating a candidate
  1. They look for an edit count of generally 7000 or more.
  2. They look for civility.
  3. They look that you haven't been blocked in the last 9 months minimum.
  4. They look for article creation or massive vandal fighting.
  5. Participation in admin related areas.
  6. The ability to keep cool in heated debates.
  7. Reliable and accurate deletion nominations.
  8. And other stuff that can be found under User:Worm That Turned/Magic Formula

What will get me to support

[edit]
I don't ask much from candidates regarding their ability to be an admin. All I ask from them is that
  1. You can be trusted.
  2. You have at least 3000 edits.
  3. Within those edits you understand all editing policies, and almost all of the admin policies.
  4. You are experienced in a lot of areas that admins work in.
  5. You are civil and able to keep your cool.
  6. If I ask a humorous question from the list below, you answer it correctly. :)

Potential questions I may ask from time to time

[edit]
Although I usually don't ask questions I will the following questions designed to test how they respond
  1. Would you consider yourself open to recall?
  2. I don't like you. Why the hell do you think you're fit to be an admin?
  3. What would you do if you ... (a scenario regarding an area they wish to work in is asked).
I will ask some scenarios questions regarding an area they wish to work in.
Some humorous questions
  1. Do you prefer fruits or vegetables? (Correct answer is fruit)
  2. What is your favorite car? (Correct answer is BMW)
  3. What is your favorite color? (Correct answer is blue)
