The Whiskey Bards is a musical group, based in Arizona,[1][2] performing folk music, pirate-themed sea shanties,[3][4] and songs in the spirit of the Society for Creative Anachronism. Their repertoire consists of traditional songs and original works. They are regular performers at Renaissance Faires across the country. In the spirit of the Renaissance Faires, the band members have created larger-than-life archaic characters and perform under these personas.

There are four members of the band, including:

Jonathan Hopf, performing as Yonaton von Schwartzflek

Stephen Hoogerwerf, performing as Tonis van Driele

Christopher Lyon, performing as Sim MacFearchair

Nevin Phull, performing as Cosimo Orsini
