Robert "Rob" Youells is an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder [1], Actor, and Drummer for Heavy Metal band Generation Kill. Rob has appeared on Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Guiding Light and has done voice work for the Grand Theft Auto video game series[2]. He has modeled for various magazine publications Vogue and Muscle and Fitness.
Early Career
[edit]In 2003, Youells stepped on stage as a competeing bodybuilder for the first time at the NPC “Golds Classic” in Lakewood NJ. Later that year he would compete at the “East Coast Championship” in Paterson NJ and “The Eastern USA” in Manhattan NY, taking second place at all three. [3] The following year, Youells competed at the NPC Nationals in Dallas TX. It was there he met Adam Silver owner of Silver Models who helped to launch his career in fitness modeling.
Between 2005 and 2008, Rob appeared in 38 issues of Muscle and Fitness including 2 covers. Rob also appeared in two episodes of Saturday Night Live.[4] In 2009 Rob was cast as “Donny” the lead in the short film “Offseason”[5]. He also played the role of “Evan Moss” for the Rockstar games hit video game "Grand Theft Auto, The Ballad of Gay Tony”, and appeared in the short film “Meet My Boyfriend” written by Sex And The City writer Liz Tuccillo. In 2011 he was featured in the film “The Sitter” with Jonah Hill.
Bodybuilding
[edit]In 2011 Youells took second place at NPC nationals[6]. It was then that he landed a GNC national advertising campaign with POP coverage and he became a contributing writer for fitness magazine “Muscle and Performance”. IN 2013, Mother Ruth Johanna Youells passed away and Rob would not return to bodybuilding competitions until 2014, when won the NPC Universe earning International Federation of BodyBuilding & Fitness Pro card.
