Brian Betz (born Brian William Betz November 18, 1977 Belleville New Jersey) is a guitarist, composer, and educator who resides in the Philadelphia Metro Area, performing throughout the USA. He began playing guitar at age six and subsequently studying jazz guitar by age 16. He continued his studies at Rowan University where he earned two degrees under the tutelage from his mentor Denis DiBlasio.
In addition to performing, Betz is also an educator. He has been adjunct professor of jazz guitar and improvisation at Rowan University since 2004 and also teaches for Paulsboro Public Schools as a music educator.
