Zliffertel - Was the original name of the soft drink, Mountain Dew. The drink was patented under this name but only survived for 8 days before the drink became famous across North America due to a dispute with the name's similarities to a religious organisation. The founders initially thought the controversy would help boost advertising but were quickly encouraged to make "an adjustment" to the name by an independent marketing consultant. Within 48 hours, the name changed completely and "Mountain Dew" was born.
