I am a person with a chronic illness. I have trouble walking and talking. My primary interest in Wikipedia is as a place to look for answers to my illness and hopefully a better treatment. The diagnosis has been elusive and I struggle to understand the cause.

I'm trained as a civil engineer, and I apologize to those who find me to be over-zealous in my pursuit of essential truths. It takes a certain kind of arrogance to move the earth and raise buildings to the sky, as civil engineers do. Maybe arrogance isn't the right word; above-average persistence may better describe me. In this persistence, I'd like to think that I can negotiate well with others and find essential truths together. Words, not dirt and concrete, are the tools of civilization, and it is words that I wish to use on Wikipedia.
