I plan on examining immigration through a sociological lens mainly in the United States. Gender and ethnicity will be researched and how they affect the integration of migrants. Influential factors such as politics, social, and the economy will be discussed in the role they take in immigration.

[edit]This was pretty meager work, Daniel. I asked for much more than this. Your description of what you will be doing is minimalist and insufficient. You really don't talk about the specifics of what you will cover - there is A LOT that goes into "gender and ethnicity," and etc. What is more, you were supposed to come up with five references: you only produced 3 of them.
Moving forward, please continue looking at Alejandro Portes' work: he is absolutely critical for the study of immigration in the US. He is especially famous for his work on transnationalism. Other people you can look up are Doug Massey and Marta Tienda. This area is very huge, so your task will be to really hone in on what is important. The best thing to do is to start with an introduction to sociology textbook and read the immigration chapter. Look at who they cite and then look them up in the bibliography to read their stuff. You have a lot of work to do, Daniel, so do not do mediocre work moving forward.
