East Metal A/S is a Danish company founded in 1997. East Metal provides resources and skills for the production of complex steel structures and components to customer specifications for a variety of industries.[1]
History
[edit]East Metal was founded in 1997 as a production enterprise in Latvia – Sia East Metal. The business concept was
to be a steel component subcontractor. Following a start-up in which the equipment and buildings were upgraded and
the personnel received basic training and education, by 1999, Sia East Metal had reached a Western European production level.
At the same time, we established East Metal Trade ApS, with responsibility for sales and project management, and the company became the parent of Sia East Metal Latvia. We followed up this structure by launching our mission of “Outsourcing without the Compromises”, a concept which guaranteed customers a competent outsourcing partner.
This concept enables customers to outsource projects in welding, CNC machining and surface treatments without having to invest in their own machinery, buildings, inventory and other non-productive outgoings. This concept gave East Metal a long unbroken period of growth, including the establishing of a second factory in Daugavpils (the second largest city in Latvia) in 2007.
Additionally, in 2015 East Metal established a third Latvian factory in Jelgava with the focus of assembly operation.
Recently East Metal has invested a lot of resources in updating its technology base. This includes CNC machines, bending machines and robot welding.[2]

[edit]East Metal is headquartered in Kolding, Denmark and has three production plants located in Latvia.
