A fire raged through a city in Mindanao island, killing people asleep, including the three children, a regional report said. It was reported that the fire reached into 3 populated villages in the Butuan region. There were reports that 12 people were sent to a medical center due to injuries in Ong Yiu Village and killing around 21 people from San Vicente and killing around 46 in the Agusan River by being burnt/drowned. And also around 39 people in the Riverside villages were missing and 23 people from a nearby municipality went missing. There was also an search by medics to find these people but were unsuccessful using tools to find them.^[1]^[2]

^ This was found in a exhibit in Banzas and some old locals. I asked 6 elderly locals near Baan about the incident, and Sir Ing who's mother was a teacher in central and father was a employee of the law enforcement. He helped me around the sources and most of the sources are from quote on quote "lost or burnt" documents.
^ Sir Ing and Ma'am Pangpang told me about the story on my way to Banza Church Ruins to film a illustration. Ma'am Pangpang, Sir Ing's mother who was 24 when the event broke out in the 80s said most of the sources were burnt/washed away by the 2021 Typhoon Rai, Flood.
