My name is Mikal Howard and I am from Louisville, Kentucky and now a college student athlete at the University of Pikeville. I am undecided in my major but I will be deciding sometime before next semester. In my free time i like to hangout with my friends and have a good time. i also enjoy playing football, basketball, cooking and eating. i do not have a favorite food because i like almost every food in the world. i think i am the funniest person alive and i always make myself laugh uncontrollably at some of the things i do and say. Many people also think i am funny and i believe it is a good trait to have because laughter is a great way to make some ones bad day turn into a good day. The best time of the year is summer time for me because there is no school and i can do whatever i want to do with my time and not have to worry about school work and other things that have to do with school that i don't like to do. i like the summer mostly because the weather is nice enough for me to go fishing and cook out everyday if i wanted to, which most days thats all i want to do. Summer time also means that its almost time for football season and not only do i get to watch the NFL on TV but i also get to play for upike. Many people believe that football players are just a bunch of big strong guys who want to kill each other on the field but that is very untrue. Personally, during football i try my best to not get touched at all and i rather not get tackled. i love the sport of football but I'm just not with the tackling into the mud type thing people think goes on. i have played football for many years and have lots of accolades to my name like first team all district and invitations to all star games throughout Kentucky. Playing college football is way different then high school in the fact that if you mess up, the coaches will replace you very quickly with somebody else. All the things i have done in football no longer matter and to get my name out i have to work all over again and get noticed. That is pretty much all there is about me. Nothing really changes me or my mood very often and i usually keep a positive outlook on life and look at the better things rather then the bad. One could say i am a glass half full type of person and i really think that is a good way for a person to live because theres no point in some one being negative all the time and bringing everybody else around them down.

Technology is suppose to be a very helpful thing that every one can use. To me, well me and technology do not get a long very well at all. I think one of the hardest things to do is to figure out technological things with out any help from instructions or someone else who knows what they are doing. I do not like technology. If you put something technological in front of me there is a good chance that I would never in a million years figure it out. Computers are the worst thing to try to figure out because they have all kinds of steps and problems that could occur at any time and you have to do this and that to fix it or get past it. a phone on the other hand I can almost figure out with a little practice and patience but with a computer, I'm more like an eighty year old man trying to do a back flip followed by a round house kick. Technology and I just don't get along at all. many people believe that young people are geniuses with technology but that gene just totally skipped me. I like the old school way of doing things most of the time and I don't believe I will be changing my opinion any time soon. and by the way, here at The University of Pikeville the new wifi that they added after spring break is by far the worst wifi ever to be created by anybody. if your phone is connected to the wifi here at upike you can forget using any app or internet. the wifi will literally shut your phone down and it will not load anything at all until you join off the wifi. my data plan is now used up and I have to pay an extra ten dollars on my phone bill for the next month. I believe upike owes me ten dollars.
being brought up as a kid in Louisville, I was always taught that Wikipedia was not a valuable source and that you should never ever use it under any circumstances no matter what. before coming to Pikeville I never looked at or used Wikipedia before. i was always told that people can go on and change it whenever they want and that information on there was not always as valid as another source. now after being in a new class this semester i have found out that information on there is actually pretty credible and can be used for research and many other things that people may need. i enjoy writing on this Wikipedia page because it is my own personal writing and i an pretty much write about whatever i want to write about. from now on in future papers and research i will now use Wikipedia as a source to and be very confident that the information i am receiving is valid and can be used as a creditable source. i actually love using Wikipedia now. i think there is more information on there then other websites and it is way easier to use. i like how it gives suggested things for you to look up and even other sources that a person can look up if they have not found the information that were looking for to begin with. i believe that i should have been taught to use Wikipedia the correct way from the start and i believe that it would have been a lot easier to do research.
