The 2019–20 season is Cove Rangers first competitive season in the fourth tier of Scottish football after being promoted through the League Two play-offs[1] and winning the Highland League. Cove Rangers will also compete in the League Cup, the Scottish Challenge Cup and the Scottish Cup.
Season Summary[edit]
Paul Hartley was named as manager in the close 2019 season after John Sheran advised Cove Rangers that he could not continue as their manager. The club moved Sheran to a director of football role, with Hartley succeeding him as manager.[2] Cove Rangers League debut against Edinburgh City ended in a 5–0 win.[3] Cove Rangers played Connah's Quay Nomads in Wales on channel S4C. This was the first match ever televised for Cove Rangers[4] where unfortunately they lost 1–0.[5]
