Who am I?
I am a mathematician. Right now I work as an assistant professor in the math department at Brown University. I finished my PhD at Harvard University in May 2004, and was at Rice University for the 2004-2005 academic year.
I am interested in differential geometry and complex analysis, specifically kleinian groups, Teichmüller theory, and 3-dimensional hyperbolic geometry. Through my mathematical work, and as a side interest, I experiment with numerical algorithms (see numerical analysis) and computer-aided mathematical visualization (see scientific visualization).
What am I doing here?
I have long appreciated the Wikipedia project and respect its goals. I hope to make a modest contribution to the mathematical content of the Wikipedia through revision of existing articles and the addition of some new ones.
Please don't edit my user page. If you want to contact me you can leave a note on my talk page. The same method can be used to call attention to any glaring errors in the tiny bit of content on this page.
