David Cochrane is the author of 2 books, "Astrology for the 21st Century" and "AstroLocality Magic", curriculum director of The Avalon School of Astrology (one of the only state-licensed astrology schools in the United States), head programmer and founder of Cosmic Patterns Software, Inc. (developers of Kepler software), former President of The International Society for Astrological Research, and advisor to The National Council for Geocosmic Research.
David has written extensively on relationships between various schools of astrology, and has developed pioneering theories on the relationship of Vedic astrology, harmonics, and ancient classical methods. He has conducted promising research pilot studies that show promise of validating some astrological principles. He also is a strong advocate of ethics and critical thinking skills in astrology, and was active in pioneering ISAR's certification program. David is a frequent speaker at conferences such as the United Astrlogy Congress (UAC), ISAR Conferences, the Balkan Conference, and other conferences. David was a full-time practicing astrologer from 1973 to 1981, and in 1981 began devoting most of his energy to the development of astrology software. David supports community efforts through service to astrological organizations and the development of a physical school of astrology.
David is married, has one child, and was born May 1, 1949 at 4:26 AM (from birth certificate) in East Meadow, New York.
