David McEwan

David McEwan (born 13 April 1962) is an Australian entrepreneur author manufacturer public speaker & designer, a career, beginning in the late 1970's saw him working with many famous artists in the Industry Including Jon Bon Jovi, Will Smith, Whitney Houston, Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder, John Farnham, INXS, The Eurythmics, David Essex, The Hoodoo Gurus, Rick Astley,The Divinyls, Midnight Oil and many more, In the late 1990's he went on to form Silverlake Australia Tile which also went on to develop SAMAS Martial Arts Gym & Fitness product with Branches in Australia, China & the Philippines

Early life[edit]

He was born David John McEwan in Adelaide, South Australia the son of Shirley Joan (nee Graham) and John Kennedy McEwan. His father hailed from Cove Argyle Scotland. His Mother of Irish descent, whilst his father was protestant, his mother was a Roman Catholic, and he was raised a Catholic. His Mother was a singer performer on Radio 5AD Adelaide South Australia. When His parents Married it made page 3 of the Adelaide Advertiser. David has always maintained his mothers generous empathic nature however he described his childhood environment as one fuelled by alcohol and aggression, with childhood ambitions as to business and sport beginning when his mother enrolling hm in Judo in 1967 a Motorcycle in 1968 which was the beginning of a 55 year evolving journey with Martial Arts, and a passion for Motorcycle racing. His mother passed in 2004 from cancer and his father 2018 from alcoholism, adding that no friends attended his funeral.
