Bernard Sabrier is Chairman of Unigestion and CEO of Unigestion Asia Pte Ltd.
Biography
[edit]Mr Sabrier started his career at Paribas then worked at Renault Finance. Mr. Sabrier became the majority shareholder of Unigestion in 1976 and since then has successfully built the company into a recognized European institutional asset manager. He distinguished himself as one of the first Hedge Funds and Private Equity investors in Europe.
In 1988, he took control of BSI Banca della Svizzera Italiana which was sold 3 years later. This acquisition was one of the largest financial and most profitable transactions led in Switzerland in the ’90s.
Mr Sabrier acted as Director on the Boards of several large European companies, and is currently a member of the Board of Nestlé Capital Management Ltd. UK. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Marshall Wace UK and a member of the Investment Committee of the Pierre and Marie Curie University Partnership Foundation.
Mr Sabrier is the founder and President of Children Action[1], a charitable foundation for disadvantaged children throughout the world. He is also the co-Founder of the MAMCO[2] museum (museum of modern and contemporary art in Geneva).
