Born in the USA Dirk Bensien spent his youth in the USA, Persia and Germany. After the completion of his training as a banker at Deutsche Bank AG he started to study law at the University of Bonn, Germany. During this time he led adventure tours in Africa, Australia, Canada and North America. Emphasis was in Asia, mainly in Nepal, where he led two expeditions to Mount Everest Base Camp.
In 1998, now approved as an Attorney at Law, he moved to San Francisco California where he studied International Trade and Commerce at UC Berkeley. Later he advised HighTech and Software companies from Silicon Valley in business development and sales related matters. Since 2005, he has been working for Google Germany.
