Bullet Hell

Bullet Hell,[1](called danmaku, meaning "barrage", in Japanese) is a sub genre of the classic "Shoot em up" video game[2].It mainly consists of games that have rounds being constantly fired from all angles by both the player,Bosses and NPC's "Non playable characters" of the game being played.Mostly side scrolling shooters some games being a music generating match the note for note pace. Bullet Hell is seen by some as a gaming genre that is not for the faint of heart.With its hundreds of thousands active moving pixels and shots flying all over the screen as the player plays.

Game play consists of the player dodging seemingly endless streams of constant fire and elaborate bullet patterns.[7] Various weapon upgrades are dropped during game play earned throughout the game give the player more firepower to compensate for the more increasingly difficult game progress.In esscence one must recognize complex bullet patterns and navigate through the barrage.Bosses use very tight bullet patterns to restrict the player to small safe zones.Often using bright face paced colors in the backround of the screen to distract players attention.
