What to play with?

An honorable member of the Order of MG West and the lost cause it has become.

My personal canon philosophy

Anything that's higher on this list, trumps everything else.

1. What happens on screen in either show.
2. What happens on screen in the movie.
3. What comes from interviews with the show's authority types.
4. What comes from official sites.
5. What comes from officially sanctioned other sources about the series, like The Stargate SG-1: The Ultimate Visual Guide, unless it's completely illogical, a screw up, or is trumped by what's above.
6. What comes from officially sanctioned other sources about the movie, like The Novelization, unless it's completely illogical, a screw up, or is trumped by what's above.
7. Real world information logically compatible with the above unless or until superseded by the above.
8. The novels/comic books, etc. Except for the official novelizations of the movie and episodes.
9. Fan anything.
10. The cartoon series.

I tend to try and put realistic OOU items in only when they seem important to understanding what the subject means. My focus tends to be the military aspect and--I'm assuming--whenever the story doesn't get in the way, the people who wrote the show actually listened to their Military Advisers because--frankly--it shows that in most situations, Stargate tries to stay as real as possible.

I don't intend on going overboard with anything OOU, only enough to make sense and--if someone can show me where the show supersedes, I will most happily edit anything.

Until then, I hope to increase understanding about the aspects of the show I'm most informed on.

Oh, and as far as what's on screen... I have an eye for ID'ing weapons. So I apply it.
