Dennis Wangila Wasike was born on August 31st 1983 in kibabii location of Bungoma district in western Kenya. He is the fourth born in a family of five boys. He went to school in Buema primary between 1988 and 1997 before he proceeded to Bungoma High school for his O level studies. Due to his love for books, he proceeded to Tororo progressive Academy for his A level where he scored 4 principal passes and went to the prestigious Makerere University. He graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Public Administration. He has worked at various levels. He began at Sacred Africa as the programs officer then went to Edcons kenya as an adminstrator. He was then recruited as a project assistant at The Consulting House where he worked on various projects within the region. He then went back to do his Master Degree in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies at The University of Nairobi in 2009. He then joined Lutheran World Federation in Kakuma Refugee camp under the peace building department before joining NPI-Africa in 2011, where he has risen through the ranks to now head the Great Lakes project. He is also involved in a number of civil society activities and policy consultancy in various companies.
