DeuilEtoiles is shouting at a hurricane, mopping up a monsoon with a paper towel and throwing tablespoons of baking soda on a conflagration. It was not supposed to be like that. Somehow, the best really are the laziest and the worst never sleep, to paraphrase Yeats. Just look at this project. It has become a monstrosity with purported encyclopedia pages locked to prevent editing by those reading different sources. Wikipedia’s acceptable sources list is a who’s who of corporate media consolidation. That’s just the tip. And, oh yes, it’s been inserted. Imagine a world in which representatives of two criminal organizations face off in a contest to be the public face of the world’s leading terrorist organization. Then imagine trying to convince the followers of one faction that you are not a member of the other (a fruitless endeavor) in order to obtain their permission to edit Organization Doctrine that is masquerading as an encyclopedia.
