Donald Gillies (b.1960) is a Scottish academic who has published three books: Radical Diplomat, the life of Sir Archibald Clark Kerr, Lord Inverchapel 1882-1951 (I.B.Tauris,1999); Educational leadership and Michel Foucault (Routledge, 2013); and as joint editor, Scottish Education (Edinburgh University Press, 2013 (4th Ed.) and 2018 (5th Ed.). He is currently Dean of the School of Education & Social Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland.
