Richard Stephenson is an author and blogger from Whitley Bay in the North East of England. He works as a teacher four days a week, enjoying writing the rest of the time.

The 89th Minute

His first novel was The 89th Minute[1] (bit.ly/89thminute). It is an account of his life, 1983-2000, following Newcastle United FC. His first match was one of Kevin Keegan's final games as a player. He then documents the highs and lows of supporting football in the 1980s and 1990s. His final games see the end of the first Keegan managerial reign and some of the most exciting times for the Toon Army.

The Tenebrian Chronicles

Eleven years in the making, this dystopian trilogy features the exploits of Albie, a teenage futuristic Stig of the Dump[2] The Tenebrian Chronicles is based above and below the City of Tenebria, a utopia that is denied the denizens of the Underworld. The first two books: Albie I: Fugitive of Tenebria[3] and Albie II: the Progeny League[4] are available through amazon.co.uk.

wBayBlogger

Since 2014, Richard has regularly writing a blog about his beloved non-league football team: Whitley Bay FC who play in the Ebac Northern League[5]. Under the monicker of wBayBlogger he has blogged about their exploits since winning the FA Vase[6] three times in a row. His blogs can be read at: www.wBayBlogger.blogspot.co.uk[7]
