Pino Montano is a neighbourhood of Seville located north of the SE-30 that is part of the Northern District of Seville .

At first, the place where Pino Montano is located was an agricultural area of olive groves where the land was divided and distributed into farmhouses. Later, in the second half of the 19th century , a railway line would be built to connect Seville with Córdoba, thus delimiting an area for cultivation and another for housing construction. Finally, the neighborhood was born in the decade of developmentalism in Spain ( 1960s ), when Seville began a rapid and disorderly expansion towards the north. From the moment the first people settled in the neighbourhood, around 1970, it has not stopped growing.

Parks and green areas[edit]
In Pino Montano there are two green areas in the form of parks: the Miraflores Park (the new area opened in 2009 that contains the old mental health center; the old area does not belong to Pino Montano) and the Ciudad de la Imagen Park, in addition to numerous squares and walks.
Celebrations[edit]
During the year, the Pino Montano Velá takes place, the Three Kings' Day parade and the departure of the Pino Montano brotherhoodon Dolores Friday, an event especially respected by the neighborhood in which a large part of it remains in the streets to see the procession in a festive atmosphere.
