The Universidad Interamericana de Panamá-Laureate International Universities, (UIP-LIU), is a private university, located in Panama city.

Historical Review

The Universidad Interamericana de Panamá was approved in 1992 by Presidential Decree and started operations in 1994, with 90 enrolled students. Our evolution as an institution goes in parallel with the development of the country, with which we have a firm commitment.

In the year 2003 it joined the most important network of private universities in the world, Laureate International Universities, leader in quality higher education services, that has universities in more than 29 countries from America, Europe y Asia, such as Germany, Brazil, Chile, China, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, USA, France, United Kingdom, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Suiza, Australia, Indonesia; with more than 900.000 students in more than 75 institutions around the world.

As result of our evolution and with the goal of offering the best services to our students, a new Masters headquarter was inaugurated in 2005, the Hotel and Tourism Faculty in 2006, the Chorrera and Villa Lucre headquarters in 2008.

The new Masters headquarter was inaugurated in Via Brasil in 2011, which has first level facilities.

It is currently cataloged as one of the first universities in Panama.
