Announcement by Munaf Musa Patel
India fast bowler Munaf Patel has announced his retirement from all forms of the game on Friday.
Munaf told The Indian Express, "There is no regrets; after all, the cricketers I played with have retired." "Dhoni has been left alone! So, there is no sadness in this way. The time of all time has increased; I would be sad that others were playing and I had left.
"There is no special reason, I do not have age, fitness is not the same, young people are waiting for the prospects and if I keep hanging then it does not look good. The main thing is that no motivation has been left. The 2011 World Cup was part of the winning team; it can not be more than that. "
During his career (from April 2006 to September 2011), Munaf Zaheer Khan (116 wickets) and Harbhajan Singh (111) were the third highest wicket taker for India in ODI cricket.
